Once I had to contact the office of the Insurance Commissioner for the State that I lived in (Michigan at the time). I filed a complaint through them and they leaned on the insurance company that I was having diificulty with and it got the insurance company to step up and resovle my claim appropriately. There was no charge to me and it worked. Might want to see if that is an option in your state
