I would like to keep RWTQ at 350 and as flat as possible. Like your published 400 RWTQ plot that was pretty much the entire power band, just 50 less for me. What would a 4.35 psi spring plot look like? 350 TQ @ 7500 RPM is 500 HP, so I like both of those numbers. Maybe a smart boost controller to control boost by RPM if 4.35 isn't enough to maintain 350 TQ as the revs rise. Has anyone done the 4.35 psi spring? What would the max boost be with a controller and this spring? I've read going over double the spring pressure can get tricky. With a stock exhaust maybe, or just short tails. Just costs, and trying to keep the power levels low. Hopefully stock clutch could handle this. Basically trying to get away with things that the Stillen SC kit lets you get away with, but using your turbo kit, which itself would put less stress on the engine than a SC producing the same RWHP.

Thanks!

Mark
Hi Mark,

There isn't any on the dyno as of yet. The power band, response, and everything else should be on par with the BB PTE turbos. Power curve will not differ. As for low boost, I don't think I have even one customer going with less than 8psi of boost, and this will yield about 480whp, and torque will depend on timing and fuel...much like HP I guess.

If you were to go with just a spring for your power goals, the red (5.8psi) may be the best option. It really isn't much boost, and your tuner can use timing to target exactly what you want out of it, with a very high degree of reliability.

With this 5.8psi spring, and a boost controller maxed out, you'd probably be maxed out at around 10psi.

At the end of the day, your tuner will be able to manipulate (through tuning) your power output, where you can have 350ft/tq at 3,000rpm, and carry that all the way to red line, where the power will be at maximum.
