Default 370Z Headlight Covers

So I bought a 2009 370Z with 43k miles on it that the previous own did all kinds of upgrades on. The ONE glaring blemish on the car are the headlights. I had someone buff them, wax them, and before I even tried sanding them and coating them. Everywhere I ask I need to buy the entire headlamp. Everything inside it works fine. All I need are the outside clear pieces.

I know people bake, open, then reseal them to work on the inside. Why can't I do this with a replacement covering? I'd like to know if there is a site that sells these that could save me $400-$500.
