Motordyne E70 arrived last Saturday and got it on this Saturday. From the care they took in packing it to the overall quality and design, I have to say I'm really impressed with the looks and sound of the E70 Shockwave.
I'm running the stock cats (no test pipes) and on cold start-up, this exhaust system is
loud. It settles down to a much quieter deep rumble on idle. Has a powerful, deep tone when cruising around--aggressive, but not obnoxious while turning heads. At highway speeds, it's just slightly louder than stock.
Zero drone. No problem conversing with a passenger, listening to music, or having to reach for the Aspirin bottle after driving for extended periods.
That changes the moment you nail the throttle--especially if you happen to be driving through a tunnel or under an overpass. Let's just say the Shockwave definitely lives up to its name, and it would probably be a good idea to keep a light foot on the throttle if there are any police in the immediate vicinity.
THIS is how the Z should have sounded off the assembly line. The Motordyne Shockwave E70 really makes the VQ37 come alive the way it was meant to. Now I actually have a good reason to look forward to daily commutes and going out on weekends more often.
