Makes perfect sense.

You really have no clue.
For one, it's only faster in a drag race, in a bone stock Z. Who gives a rats a$$ about drag racing in a Z? Almost no one.
Second, who cares if it's more fuel efficient? Nissan states 18/26 MT6, 19/26 AT7. Wow, one whole mile extra in city. That's going to make a major difference.
Also, IF you're really concerned about fuel efficiency in a sports car, you can easily hypermile with a MT, not so much in an AT. And just by chance, I've been doing a little hypermiling this past week in town, averaging 31 mpg for roughly 100 miles... In town! 31 mpg! And I wasn't even going crazy with it. I was just playing around some with it. Try that with the AT.
But enough of this silly bickering. Since you totally missed my point in my first post, I'll spell it out for you...
Other than possibly women who would gladly go for a blue auto Z, the two types of guys who would be looking for a used Z are either guys who are married and want to get a weekend sports car for a great price, or those younger high school/college guys who are on a tight budget but want to get a Z at a great price. Both of these types of guys are most likely hunting for a MT in their sports car, not an auto.
My argument was never about one transmission being better than the other.
