Default Thoughts/Opinions about Grip Royal style steering wheels on street cars?

I'm copy/pasting from a Reddit post I made this morning:

Quote:
I love the look, but I also love the airbag. Just wondering how many of you guys have done this mod and I'm wanting to know how impractical it is for daily use.

Also, I've got a very modern sports car, so I'd be losing some features like the call button things for phones and cruise control, but I plan on getting a new radio anyway so I don't really care so much about that. What I do care about, though, is that I'd be losing the airbag.

Is it worth it or nah? I'm about to pull the trigger on either a Grip Royal or just grab a muffler delete instead.

Thanks, guys. Sorry for a pretty odd question. I looked online and didn't really see anyone talking about safety for the street, just track stuff with Momo steering wheels.
Looking for some more opinions. The only commenter on Reddit was a dude with an '01 S2k.

I've thought about it some more today, too, and it seems really impractical. But I like to be different, and having a race wheel would certainly be different...
