I sold my POS truck (1997 Ranger I4 5M 2WD) and bought a new 2010 Frontier SE V6 4x4. I'll use that when it's below 40F

Above that, I might use the Z. Or I might use my truck. Or I might use my motorcycle.

Driving the Z in winter is insane. It's marginally better than driving a mustang, and significantly worse than driving a 10yr old vehicle that's better suited to snow (SUV, Truck mainly...AWD/FWD cars if they have decent ground clearance). For the cost of snoeshoes and wheels for the Z, you could have a cheap vehicle that you would be better off with in winter.

As for me, I opted to put my old truck to pasture, and get a new truck. New truck is of course way better than old truck, but, old truck was just fine in winters...and liability-only insurance made it cheap to own...
