That sounds like it could be scrambled memory in the ECM. FSM should have more info. There is an ECM reset procedure in the FSM or you can disconnect a battery terminal and step on the brake pedal for 2-3 seconds - either procedure should clear all RAM.

If you disconnect the battery, you'll need to do the window reset procedure (search is your friend) and you won't pass an emissions inspection until you make a few drive cycles. Engine may run rough for a few minutes until the ECM re-learns the engine.
