I found when having to cut hardened bushing bolts on my Pathfinder that carbide metal cutting blades for a reciprocating saw worked very fast I.e. 30 seconds without forcing the saw. The blades made by Milwaukee sell for about $28 here in Canada but cut ten times faster than a bi-metal blade and last a very long time. Might be worth a try. Using a torch is very dangerous, messy and many times damages things nearby such as paint, hoses wires etc. Hopes this helps.
