Good idea, but no, the plastic has been removed.

I seriously hope it isn't a leak or condensation causing it. I keep it garaged and only drive it a time or two a week, so I don't plan on getting it wet, but our weather is really unpredictable and humid, so that is always a possibility. Just doesn't make sense that it's that way on the brace, too, unless the rear window leaks, too...
