If I really wanted performance I would buy the base model with no sports package and go all aftermarket, which is why I started this thread to find out what I would lose or gain by not getting it. The sports package is a great deal, but if in a year or less I start buying new rims, tires, etc., why spend the money the extra money on these features and have them go to waste? Yes I would have a spare but so would I if I bought the base model.

The G37 is to big, the 135 is a nice car, not a sports car.

Edit: Also, I spend usually months, if not over a year, before I jump on a purchase like this. I like to make sure I am getting the best deal, and all the features I want with nothing extra.
Go test drive auto 370z and lets see if you can say they are top notch. I test drove the auto, and they are like any other regular auto transmission, there is a lag. This is not a BMW, Ferrari, Evo, or any other supercars...

My commute is an hour also, and my Z is my daily car. Driving my manual is so natural to me...

I see your point, I guess for auto base without sport package, the only thing you can't really replace by reasonable price and labor work is LSD. Everything else can be replaced with aftermarket. But then again, thats same for every other cars, ex. civic, sentra, tiburons....you can buy auto and mod them out and make them fast...

by the way, you need to have LSD because of all that power.....

My point is that this particular Nissan 370z is different from other cars. Nissan built it with worlds first Syncro Rev match transmission. Nissan spent 5 years of research and develpment for this feature, and its so amazing...

Getting an auto, not matter how much you make it fast by modding it, it will never be same with Manual Synro Rev.

I would be sad and dismayed if people asks me, " Yo, thats an awesome car man, Hows the new Z with Synro Rev Match??"

You reply, "Yea man, its nice car, But is its..................Auto.........."......

<------- this has been my opinion, so no offense inteded
