OK, so it's between 3100-3200lbs.
That's still a 5 doors, 5 passenger AWD crossover. Stressing awd based on the components it takes to create AWD.
Now if we look at a FWD NISMO Juke it weighs about 2900lbs or slightly under. This is still a 5 passenger crossover WITH 5 doors and a raised extended chassis.
I would take the Pepsi challenge that if we chopped a fwd Juke into a 3 door car, it would weigh 400lbs less with removing the extended roof chassis, 2 doors and the whole back row.
So either way you cut it. It's light. So considering that the GRIP Z is a 2,550 lb awd concept with an auto transmission. It proves HOW SERIOUS Nissan is about weight reduction.
The Juke is still light by comparison of its competitors

If you cut an suv into the size of a roadster, you dont have a great roadster. I understand your logic but im not sure its anywhere close to being that simple. I you remove material from a structure you have to add it back to keep the structure sound. May or may not be relevant here but , yeah. Im not a mechanical engineer.
Also concepts are just that. Great ideas! If you take that concept and make it the size of an exige an put in the 3.0 tt with mid engine RWD , should weigh around 1200lbs and with a quick tune be pushing 500bhp!
If they produced the grip under 2600lb and be under 50k !!!! id say the hell with all other cars! Nissan grip is the only car i will ever love in my life.
