I overfilled mine earlier this year and caused major problems. It would not idle correctly and after a serious idle issue the idle reset itself to about 1100 rpm.
I let the car drain for an extended period of time to try and clear the air bubbles caused by the overfill. When I drained the oil, there were a LOT of air bubbles. I then had to pull the battery cable to reset the ecu.
Due to all of this, I no longer ever fill to the Full line.
I'm about to check the oil again after letting it sit overnight. Since Friday the car has been 100% perfect on the level and it's back to it's normal performance wise. I'm pretty convinced I got a half tank of crappy gas.
