Also while you may be able to afford the z06 and its payments the upkeep for owning one will not be the same. Those tires alone cost a fortune and the rims have a stupid internal design that most shops can not even change the tires on (our dealer couldn't, 3 other designated tire shops couldn't and we had to take it to California wheels who do a lot of specialty wheels, put it in their cage and inflate with about 150 psi to seat the beads, cheatah bead blaster won't work).
Cool car and fast for the money but I would never ever ever own American or German after working in the field. Just my opinion.
Also if you can afford a z06 wouldn't a GTR be in range?
Oh also if you track your car be ready for oil consumption. Already a bulletin posted by GM that oil consumption and oil in the intake is normal for "aggressive driving" and you will need to replace the air filter after such event since it will become oil soaked after sitting and all the oil from the PCV runs down into it, saw it first hand with a new stingray (not the same as the z06 but similar enough that I would not be surprised).

K&N filter and charger kit should fix that.
