However, not in a TT's case, the energy in the exhaust gasses is used to push a turbine which leaves little to be dissipated as sound. So the exhaust tone will be quieter than even an NA setup with that same exhaust. The engine itself though will definitely become louder as it is combusting more air & fuel

Boost is boost, the rotrex charger is nothing but a compressor like that on a turbo powered by the engine's crank shaft rather than a turbine. The same heat will be generated in either cases at the same boost pressure to an extent. That's why an intercooler was utilized.
