Got some interesting info on the Focus RS through a couple of videos as well as the comment section of youtube video.
About the front suspension:
- Lack of clearance between the front springs and the front towers mean front camber cannot be adjusted with camber plates. It's also quite an exercise to access the front strut towers from the engine bay (need to remove layers of covers).
- Engine is completely hanging in front of the front axle
Laps around MSR Cresson:
- Youtube comment on understeer - Car does NOT like left foot braking, something about it disabling the power to rear wheels causing understeer.
- Vorshlag's comment on its own FB page - in Texas summer, cooling is an issue. Oil cooler is a must (came stock with a coolant heat exchanger), possibly larger radiator and intercooler (but this goes to many boosted track cars though).
- Seems like lap time without traffic would be around 1.26.xx, looks to be around the same lap time as a stock 370z.
