I can't decide whether I want to buy a set of UHP All-Seasons to replace the stock summer tires on my DD, or buy a set of steelies and winter tires.

You don't really need snow tires for our winters (actually for 90% of the time they are worse than all-seasons because it's 30 degrees and dry most of the winter) but you can't quite get by on summer tires either, unless you just want to not drive from Dec 15 - Feb.

Probably go with the winter tires. I guess if I get 2 - 3 winters out of them, it will be time to replace the stock summers anyway, and I'll make the switch to all-seasons then.
