Nissan already said, THERE WILL BE BOTH A NEW Z N GTR.
If a recession hit, you'll be reading about what they're doing with Z's in Japan vs owning one and doing it yourself.
Changing subject...
How Nissan can make a $60K Z? This is how!!
Nissan SPECIFICALLY stated they want to make a lighter car specifically reminiscent of the original 240z.
So if anything was to fall through the cracks in rumors or speculations. It would be likely the z would be a 4banger only and would start under $30k. The next Z if I speculated. The 4 banger will be between 2,800-2,900lbs. n the turbo 6 if they even make it would be 3,000-3,100lbs...
Let's say they build a topline, Nismo is 450HP, it would most likely be the model that is 3,100lbs. It would have a 6.8lb power to weight ratio vs the corvettes 7.3.
So if we're trumping up numbers of the top of our head. The Z would would win. Especially if the Z remains, hydraulic with a handbrake. The corvette would quickly become obsolete. It would be the most driver focused car because it will be the only analog car with a personality. While all the others will have numb electric steering.
