Curbed a wheel today - not on the Z. About a 2" long section right on the edge of the wheel.

Wheel is not out of balance, just scraped down to the bare aluminum and rough.

1. Ignore it = free
2. DIY fix = almost free, probably look pretty bad, won't last that long
3. "Mobile Wheel Repair" = $75 - $100, probably look good but likely air-dry paint that is not very durable, some negative reviews on yelp/google+
4. "Immobile wheel repair" = $150 - $175, this shop in Fortville specializes in wheel repair and does high $$ stuff and gets lots of recommendations from the local autocross crowd. Luxury dealers use him quite a bit. It's a 1.5 hour round trip.
5. New wheel = $347 shipped + mount/balance, I could keep the curbed wheel as a spare/have it repaired I suppose

I'm leaning toward #4 as I think it's kinda silly to buy a brand new wheel for 2" curb rash and it's also $250 cheaper.

Anyone had good luck with wheel refinishing like that?

Didn't happen while parking, I actually very lightly bumped the curb while driving avoiding some moron who was driving down the middle of the street and didn't move over when I approached. I should have let her hit my car, then whatever damage would be up to her insurance company to figure out, instead of me.
