1. I pay Maxbore for all the bells and whistles (thinned shaft, flat head screws etc) and it's cheaper than going to him direct as I get a discount.
2. I pay for full insurance! For the parts and for the porting if the TB's are lost or damaged.
3. PayPal, fees etc are all covered in the price you pay.
4th and best, the TB's TPS is very sensitive. If you send your TB's to Maxbore there's a chance the TPS could be damaged in shipping to or from or when it's sitting on his bench getting worked on. If this happens you're screwed. You have to pay another $100 or so for a used TB on eBay, you have to pay for shipping and porting again and fingers crossed that TB still works! You'll be $200+ more invested and that'll suck. Not to mention all the down time. It normally takes a few business days to ship your TB's. Then 4-5 days for the work. Then a few more business days to ship back. Guaranteed you won't have a car for 2-3 weeks. Some TB's have taken a month to get back as Maxbore can become very busy.
With me you're covered!! There's zero down time for your car! If you buy my TB's and you have a broken TPS from me, all you have to do is take off your working TPS before you ship them back to me for your core refund. Clearly before install of my TB's yours would have been working 100% so you know it's good. It's a simple 4 screws to remove and the black TPS cover pops off. Swap it over to my non working TB and you're set. This right here alone is worth it with peace of mind!
FYI...
My TB's cost $305 total for you whether you send yours in or you buy mine. I send you a refund if you turn yours in.
Daytonas are like $1200 or $895 if you send yours back in. Mine are bigger and better options like the thinned shaft and flat head screws etc.
MINES from Japan are $3600 or $1600 if you turn yours in.
EPS are $799 and adapted 70mm maxima TB's. I can of course also port these to like 75mm also for $305.
In the end it's how big you wanna go and how much you wanna spend!

thank you for posting, i was unaware that your company did this. Keeping with the original question, is there benefits to doing the upgrade?
