Went to a block party a few weeks back in a friends neighborhood. It was a 'first annual' and very small. But they had the road closed off, a stage set up for the band, the whole nine yards. Was just some local band, some covers some original tunes. They were actually half decent. Anyways they had this sound guy there who apparently does some pretty big stadium concerts and it was funny as hell seeing him run around with sound checks and getting everything set up just right. Even during the show he'd go side to side with some sort of meter testing and tweaking and whatever else. Glad to see him taking his job so seriously, even if he was only getting maybe $100 for this small town block party gig with maybe 30 people
