The only truly useful thing that comes on the Sport is the larger, better brakes. That's it. However, the base brakes can be upgraded to slotted/drilled aftermarket ones along with carbon pads which will most likely surpass the Sport brakes.

As for wheels, the front 18" wheels weigh 2.2 lbs less than the 19" Rays, though the rear 18's weigh 0.7 lbs more. Not a big deal. Not only that, there's a much larger selection of 18" tires, and for less!

Lastly, the VLSD that comes in the Sport apparently isn't all that great since a bunch of people change it out to a "real" LSD.

The money saved on NOT buying the Sport can go into the things mentioned above to make the base actually a step up over the Sport quite easily.

And like others said, if the car is set up right, a base without the rear spoiler can look really good. Mine will be part of that group in a little while.
So, sounds like you regret not buying the Sport..... The base is just that....a Z with no personality.
