It's a
not too difficult DIY, and a great first project. There are a few posts on the subject already on this site.
Search on Youtube for how to remove the rear panels. Once you have the hatch exposed down to metal, you can use Dynamat, which is pretty easy to work with.
Here's a good place to start.
