I would either put the Beluga back on or leave the exhaust completely stock rather than do the "washer" mod. That sort of mod is too much of a teenage ricer or redneck type thing to do if you ask me.
It reminds me a kid I knew back in high school that took a large screwdriver and a hammer to punch a bunch of holes in his Ford Escort muffler to make it sound "cool"...
