I think that speaks to the personality type of the writer more than it does to the car. As Steely Dan put it, "... another negative girl." Or perhaps going for cheap laughs.
Still, I think she was mostly bemoaning the fact she didn't mod the car to those specs herself, but rather bought it that way; she's honest about that.
