I've had the same issues on mine...

A few instances it turned out to be rocks, dealer removed, things were fine...

It makes the same sound as my pos wrx did at one point, I fixed that car by pushing the dust shields back a bit with just a small amount of force.

This car makes the same stupid sounds, kind of a tiny pot metal like sound...

Going to try new pads (ebc redstuff) + 2 piece rotors, and push the stupid dust shields back a bit. Fingers crossed. I'm still lost on the genius idea that the dust shields need to be so close to other moving surfaces. More of an annoyance than anything else. It's the only part of this car I don't understand why it was engineered to be a perpetual annoyance on purpose it seems.

BTW: I've ran EBC redstuff on two other vehicles for daily driving, not sure why they're taboo on the nissan forums, but they've always been great on other cars I've owned, and I don't drive it like it's a prius.
