So "The Door" was a huge, important episode in regard to the story of GOT.
Three big reveals were to be had:
1) The origin story of the White Walkers and the Night's King. The Children of the Forest released the genie out of the battle and is the main conflict of the series (even if most of the characters are oblivious to this fact).
2) It was subtle, but the origins of both Braavos and The Faceless Men were revealed which is something I have been wondering about.
3) Hodor - I don't think I can say too much about this, but it had quite an emotional impact on me. RIP Summer.
So is this the week we get to see either Benjen or Cold Hands make a (re)appearance? Without the help of someone north of the wall it seems like a stretch that Meera and Bran are going to be able to escape the WWs/Wights.
Now that we are only down to two Direwolves, will Nymeria's return be that much more awesome and huge? At some point I foresee the Starks in a seemingly impossible situation where Nymeria and her huge pack will come to the rescue!
The last 8 episodes have been incredible, but only because of all the groundwork that has been laid during the seasons before. I am hopeful that the show will keep up the strong storytelling and pace up until the end.
