If your going to be trying to work on your own car then you really need something better than just that code reader. This is why so many techs hate it when people always think we are ripping them off because don't we just plug the little thingy in and it tells us exactly what's wrong. All the code is doing is saying hey something is wrong here. It does not tell you what is wrong. The map is generally used to determine intinitial fuel trim on start up as it is being used as a baro sensor. You need to see what it's reading vs your baro reading at you sea level (usually in kpa sometime in hg). Odds are you have a intermittent open or short but you need freez frame data to see what map reading is when code set. With this info you can disconnect your map and check data KOEO if it reads same value than tada you now know you have an intermittent connection, if shorted you have a reverse scenario. If you don't have the tools or the ability to understand this then take it in and pay for someone who is qualified to do it and just know you saved yourself money in the long run by paying up front rather than paying later after you've spent a bunch of time on money and exhausted all avenues before finally paying someone do to it.
