That's where we differ then. I don't mind the road trip plus normally I am picking up multiple items. So more savings. The wear and tear doesn't bother me either my cars are here to be driven and I drive them hard! There's a reason I am on my 4th set of rear tires on my Z.

As for customs. Just tell them what you want, that is between you and the officer. But honestly I have not had to pay duties on lots of parts. Just depends on the officer and or what you tell them. Most time I have been able to say it was used parts. Or tell them your bringing parts back into the country from a big Z meet. I tell them they were my parts I brought down and was trying to sell at the meet and these are what's left, couldn't t sell etc. They normally just wave me through.
