Of course this thing gets announced a month after I buy mine. Well I decided to buy used anyways, so I guess it's not too bad. The aero parts are the same as those for the Z06, which I planned on adding to mine anyway. The wider wheels would have been nice, but not absolutely needed over the Z51 wheels.
This is the model to get over the Z06 if you plan on tracking it a lot. All the performance upgrades without the potential overheating issues caused by the SC. The availability of the Z07 pkg is what really makes the GS such a great deal. The carbon ceramic brakes alone are worth more than the package cost itself. Got a ride in a C7 Z06 w/ Z07 pkg at ZDayZ last year and those brakes are mind blowingly good.
If you want to go the cheaper route, you can buy a used Z51 and just add the aero parts afterwards and the wheels if you want them. Gives you more money to buy mods......like this exhaust I bought
