I lolled when I saw that he put a $3000 body kit as a bang for the buck hahahahaha.

As far as the cobb AP goes. The usual price is $695 when first released for most cars. This is a HUGE mod for FI engines and undoubtedly the best bang for the buck in the import tuning scene. STIs can find 60WHP stock and over 80whp with a stage 2 tune. However, that is the same for any tuning mechanism, the AP is just one more tool. There is also something called OpenECU which is free and anyone with a tactrix cable and a laptop can tune their own car. My last STI went from 230whp stock to 315whp with intake/exhaust and an OpenECU tune.

The problem is that the Z is NOT an FI car and therefore the gains of a tune will never be as pronounced, not even half. Wishful thinking might get us a quarter of the power.

Ask me what the best bang for the buck mod is...driving school. If I had to pick a single mod, a track alignment is my suggestion. If I had to pick a single physical part change...either brake pads, coilovers or racing tires.

No single power mod will be the best bang for the buck for this car...cept maybe a turbo kit, but thats a big buck for the bang.
