Figured it out by myself with my little-to-no wiring knowledge, it was actually a lot easier than I thought.
For anyone doing this, here's what I did:
1. Bought the following:
-Ttap's (advance auto)
-Mini wiring toolkit (with multiple different crimps)
-Voltage meter
-extra black and red wires
2. Used the voltage meter to check what two wires received power (12v) when the car was in contact (and at the same time didn't get any power when the car was off). I checked the little relay box above the drivers side headlight and tapped into the relay all the way to the left (if you're looking at it from the front of the car). There was a brown and Red wire parrallel to each other. I checked both wires and they were indeed not getting power when car was off and getting 12v when car was in contact
3. Used the t-tap connector to tap into those two wires and used the corresponding crimps that came with the t-tap to crimp the DRL cables. Then I connected the DRL cable directly into the brown and red wires.
Heres what a t-tap looks like:
Hope this helps anyone in the future.
