I would try to keep them from hitting the redline. When the revs would start to get close I would usually work the pedal a bit so that it would shift before redlining. If I try to do that with the Z, it wants to keep going in the current gear and not upshift. I used the paddle to make it upshift a few times because the warning light would flash and that worried me. I don't want to cause any damage. Look, I apologize if my questions are stupid, novice, etc. but like I said before, I'm new to these cars and just wanted to be sure. I love this car, have always been a Nissan guy. I've owned over 20 Nissans but never a Z. To me this is a dream car and I thought I'd never get the chance to own one so now that I do, I want to keep it nice and not mess it up. Thanks for your input and info.
