Here's one of the comments I read in that youtube link you posted.
"Hi,
We are sorry for the confusion. Pioneer NEX series radios will support retention of the OEM sources (such as Sync, BT, uConnect, etc.) and will put data on the secondary OEM screens. However, the radios were shipped to the market without the compatibility turned on as it was not ready. Pioneer said they expect to release a firmware update in May/June that will enable this functionality.
Regarding the other screens - Gauges, Vehicle info (Tire pressure) as well as Climate Control and Parking Assist (not applicable in your install) Pioneer did not implement the screens for these features in 2014 NEX radios. While we expect to se them added for 2015, we have no indication they will exist at all for 2014. I am sorry for the confusion.
When the serial connectivity goes live, you can enable it be updating your radio and reflashing your Maestro RR on our website."
