When I was a kid, we stayed in Grand haven for the summer. When the perch would run, we would fish down by the power plant and come back with 5 gallon buckets full. Cleaning them all sucked, but oh so tasty!
Smelt dipping was fun too. Fun fact, fried smelt is my favorite of all time!
