It's simple physics. You have soft things bracing the engine,Trans, and diff. As the motor works, it produces rotational torsion from the engine to the drive shaft to the rear diff. This soft mounts absorb energy and displaces it as they get twisted this way and that way. The reason why they use these sort mounts is to reduce vibration both from the engine and road itself. The other thing you is you loose or should I day waste some power deflecting these mounts and you get a delay in power transfer. You swap these soft mounts to stiffer mounts and you reduce power loss from deflection and increase power transfer speed.

The Trans mount is super easy to change. It's like changing a tire easy. The rear diff is not too hard. It'sjust messy and take time. Motor mounts however can be a Hellen. If you don't have the right tools, you might really get fubared. I had my shop do much MM 3hrs labor. It took him a good 2.5 hrs to do it.
