Always - the computer logs into Windows 7 automatically. I'm not even sure if it will work when I'm not logged in. SMB protocol via Windows share. No special software.

I've tried all of them. The current ones are the latest drivers as far as I can tell. But I downloaded every single version available from their website and they all did the same thing.
