You can also put a groove in a hockey puck. Use a dremel to create the groove. Another trick for a jack is to get a rare earth magnet about 1/2" diameter and and less than the thickness of the hockey puck. Bore a hole on the jack side of the puck and epoxy it to the magnet. The magnet is plenty strong enough to hold the puck to the rail. I like to place the puck on the rail first and then put the jack under the car. Takes the guess work out of whether or not I have it centered on the rail or not.
