the car has 80k on it all stock parts. It will rev to 5 or 6k then drop rpm as if the car is stuck in gear and is hitting the rev limiter (no red light). I can back it off to 4k RPM and it runs fine. shifts up into 2nd 3rd 4th Ect.
MAF's look clean, I pulled the right one off this morning, its spotless.
The car has new engine oil, new air filters, new tires, and brakes. Pretty much the usual wear items were replaced by the prev owner before he traded it to the dealer.
the owner of the dealership has been driving the car around. The only issue was the gas float malfunction where it would read empty regardless. the dealer's service department told me they would change this part out but they needed to order it from Nissan. when the tech was checking out the p0605 code he replaced a Blown fuse and the gauge started reading Fuel @1/4 tank. I dropped 5 gal in it and it read 1/2 a tank. so its working good as I could tell.
and Now here is where it gets worse....
I went out this morning to warm her up and take her to work so I can get it over to the dealer to check out. Since at this point I feel its a CPS or CSP Sensor and I'm not gonna pay for a Part that was bad before I purchased the car...
The car wont start she turns over but I'm getting no Ignition. No CEL/SES .... I cleared the car unplugged the battery and Put it back on and Tried to turn it over..... same thing. I checked the SES light. 5 Long blinks and then a Solid Light.( which i cant tell if its bad or not since with Key-on the SES lights regardless) I listened to the Fuel Pump. it hums for a few seconds then Cuts out. which tells me its working and pressurizing the line.
in the past 2 Days my Wife's tune has changed from "love it" to "Get rid of it" This
was her Dream car (it was really a 350Z in burnt Orange but she was 14 in 2003)
Before I call AAA to have it Towed is there anything u guys can think of?
