IIRC, the only difference between the .40 & 10mm is that the 10 is a longer case, which in theory, would give it a little more muzzle velocity... TBH, I'm too lazy to look it up  |
Yep. The 10mm OAL is similar to the 45ACP where as the 40S&W OAL is similar to the 9mm. But, remember the 10mm was first. The FBI wanted a lower power 10mm. S&W answer the call with the 40 S&W.
