one thing i HIGHLY recommend is to wash the engine bay very well each spring if u drive in the salt. i mean wash from the top, then take the bottom cover off and wash from the bottom too along with suspension bits. then rub the bare metals with a light coat of oil.
dat a lone will make ur car age so much less every year. my last dd i had for 4yrs, had barely any corrosion on the undercarriage. and rarely washed in the winter. carmax was quite impressed how great of a condition it was in.

I'll be sure to do that now. I have a local carwasher with those sprayer hose things that have an engine bay cleaner. $5 and clean the engine/under carriage.
