The car definitely handles better than the '15, I think the loss in weight is noticeable but it's still a giant car. Since this was a v6 model I expected some body roll but it was much better than the barge the previous gen was. The ride is firm but compliant and would he comfortable for long drives.
The interior is surprisingly cramped though, it's not much bigger than the Z despite the mass amounts of sheet metal. Interior is definitely a step up from the last gen.. Still lots of cheap plastics but it looks and feels much better. I hated the climate controls....you turn the vent rings to control fan and temp. Doesn't feel natural and the temp display is tiny (but it also displays on the screen to make up for it). The dash screen is also angled down which makes it look weird in my opinion, but it's a large screen and incorporates phone mirroring which is nice. The rimless rear view mirror is a nice touch but the stupid onstar buttons are incorporated into the bottom of the mirror so it's very easy to accidentally dial them while adjusting the mirror. I know because I made two 'emergrncy' calls by accident. Also the onstar buttons do not dim so having a bright blue light in your face at night is annoying.
I've never liked the Camaro exterior and I think this looks worse. The squeezed headlights and taillights look tacky to me, especially since the car itself is still pretty big. Just looks out of proportion.
Over all I like the mustang styling but preferred how the Camaro drove. Mash the two together and I'd consider getting myself a muscle car!
