Anyone have any idea what it would cost to have a set of Recaro Sportster CS reupholstered in the Nismo scheme? Ballpark of a fair price? Trying to compare costs, I don't really care about the airbags in the factory seats. $4K seems pretty high when you still need to modify them to fit.
These were my seats in the picture I was gong to put in my old G37. To put it easy, NO they will not work. But truthfully yes they will. There is one member on here who has done it. The rail from the drivers side is welded to the seat and modified to allow it to sit higher and give it tilt function. My solution was to get the standard Recaro base frame from a sportster. Simple, except Recaro will not sell it separate. I believe the guy on here had to order from Recaro Europe, as Recaro US wouldn't separate that piece. From there it would be a simple seat install. Trick is getting the parts.
