yah as ron posted, try the HU swap first. ive been pretty happy with my pioneer HU only swap. thing's EQ transforms the junk door speakers into something i can actually enjoy.
also note dat i dont want heavy parts in my sports car, so the flimsy speakers are plenty for me with the audio quality i got just from the HU swap.
