In terms of the Z Speed HD CSC, I'm not aware that it's "hit or miss". I know of one failure when it was combined with a Spec clutch kit, and that combination simply didn't work. There may also have been failures when the CMC was not swapped out at the time the HD CSC was installed. Joe at Z Speed cautions that both the CMC and CSC need to be changed at the same time. I'm not aware of any failures of the HD CSC other than those mentioned. I've experienced no issues. That said, I bleed the clutch system regularly using Motul RBF 600 to remove any fluid that might be contaminated … usually twice per year. Trust this helps!

I also should add that I installed the RJM clutch pedal assembly that evidently eases wear on the CSC.
