I run it down to empty and fill up 18+ gal on a regular basis. I've done this for over 50K miles worth of fill ups. It was bound to happen eventually
No but seriously ... I was just being stupid and not paying close enough attention to my throttle input over the last three days (~50 miles). I was off by about 1.3 miles on my guesstimate of how much mileage I could get out of the remaining gas. And I feel like a moron.
Thankfully my buddy was nice enough and just laughed at me for a brief period of time. I should have let him drive
