That's way too pricey for a salvaged car regardless the year and mileage.

I've bought several salvaged cars and have been fortunate and have had 0 problems with them during long term ownership.

I bought my '09 Z Touring Manual in 2013 with 36K on it for $15K. I currently have 52K on it and listed it for $15K and found a buyer but it didn't sell since he couldn't get a loan for a salvage title car so be aware of that problem if/when you try to sell.

During these 2 years the car has been great knock on wood.

I also have an S2K that I have had for 10 years that's a rebuilt title and have had 0 issues knock on wood. Although that is a garage queen so really doesn't get used much.

I think people get too freaked out with rebuilt title cars. If it checks out and the price is right (not in this case) I don't see a problem.

I'd be less worried buying a rebuilt Japanese car than a preowned clean title European car!
