Default 370Z Brake Pads After Track

Hi all,

I tracked my stock 2013 Base 370Z last week for the first time and noticed wear on my brakes afterwards. I took it to the dealership today who said that that my rear brake pads are at 2mm and that they need replacement ASAP. They quoted around ~$300 for replacement and another $150 for rotor resurfacing. My car has 17k miles on it.

I figured that I can do the pad replacement myself but is the rotor resurfacing really necessary? I know the term "warpage" gets thrown around loosely and I asked the dealer if my rotors have warped and he said no. They said its good to resurface when changing pads. I will bleed the brake fluid when I replace these pads as well.

Also, would you guys have any recommendations for brake pads replacement from OEM? I aim to track my car twice a year. I'm leaning towards Akebono brake pads.

Thanks!!
