Trying to be objective here.
You are putting your faith in a shop that cannot identify the material that they are applying paint to. This would lead me to believe that the end results of their paint job is not going to be great.
While equalme's cost may be 3X higher, it will be done proper. If the jackwagons at the shop screw up your paint, you're out of the money and still have to pay more to equalme. Getting something done right, the first time, with excellent customer service is worth the cost of admission IMO.
Just my couple 'o pennies.
