You need to double check that the alternator is working.

Just because its NEW? Doesn't mean it can't fail.

simple test, while running disconnect the negative terminal, and see if it dies

If it does the alternators not working.

If you notice the cars idle rise your alternators working.

You should be close to 14 volts while running.
